Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a beautiful, non-invasive therapy with a deeply relaxing effect on the body and the mind. It is during this deeply relaxed state that healing can take place.
The treatment aims to restore function and relieve pain and dysfunction. Craniosacral treatment improves whole-body health and performance.
Craniosacral therapy focuses on the natural rhythms in the body and balances the nervous system. The nervous system and the surrounding fluid system are the most subtle and sensitive parts of your body.
Your therapist uses a gentle hands-on approach to listen to the body and to release tensions stored deep inside the tissues.
What is the craniosacral system?
The craniosacral system consists of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid. It surrounds, protects, and nourishes the brain and spinal cord (this includes the origin of spinal and cranial nerves among which is the vagal nerve).
The central nervous system and the nervus vagus are heavily influenced by the craniosacral system. Consequently, normalizing the craniosacral system restores the nervous balance and vagal tone and this enhances the body’s ability to self-correct.
